School Based Counseling

The School Based Drug & Alcohol Program, New Hope Manor's outreach and prevention program, is community based in schools offering counseling and education for prevention and intervention of drug and alcohol related problems. Services include: drug/alcohol education, support groups, individual and group counseling, community outreach, school consultation, and evaluations. Consultation, educational programs, and in service training workshops are offered to schools, PTO's, parents, town agencies and community programs. New Hope Manor also coordinates services with other agencies and programs to address specific problems in either the development of collaborative programs or in the making of appropriate referrals to one another.

The services provided by our School Based Programs focus on both cognitive and affective changes in values and attitudes, which precipitate, enhance, or advocate drug and alcohol involvement among individuals and families. Any individuals, however, with profound psychological or chronic addictions will be referred to appropriate agencies for treatment.
